Four of the first ten Google Maps results for a Seattle concrete contractor have no working website.
On September 23, 2026 I searched Google Maps for concrete work the way a customer does, from downtown Seattle, a point north of it and a point south of it: 19 searches, 8 of them with enough concrete listings to count. Then I tapped what a customer taps: the website on each listing, the call button on each site, the email link. 227 listings, 86 websites opened, 22 of them read again on September 25, 2026. No business is named here.
The five checks in Seattle, WA
What a customer runs into after tapping a listing, counted on the 72 local sites in the table near the end of this page. Each check is explained on the home page.
1. The Website button opens your site18 of 34 passMeasured here: Opens clean, fits a phone.
2. The number calls in one tap53 of 61 passMeasured here: the number on the listing is the number on the site. Taps were not counted.
3. There's a starting price6 of 72 passMeasured here: Price.
4. A message gets through55 of 71 passMeasured here: Can write.
5. Google Maps tells the same storynot in this report
If I wrote to you, the link in my message opens your own five checks at the top of this page. If not, get them free, in writing, within one business day.

In the metro wide search of the first ten have no working website behind them, and have eight reviews or fewer. Companies whose sites list decades of work here sit further down the same search, past place 30.
Tap Call on the site
Someone who has opened a site taps the number on that site, not the one on the map. On the 22 sites read again on September 25, 2026 I compared every call button with the number printed on it. dial something else.
Company 15Button reads a 206 numberthe one printed on the page→Dials a 425 numberanother number on the same site
Company 64Button reads a 206 numberthe one printed on the page→Dials a 206 numberone digit off
All 72 local sites, the number from their own Google listing against the site:
The number from the Google listing is on the siteCalls from the map and calls from the site reach the same place.
The listing number is nowhere on the siteThe site shows a different number, or its call button dials one.
No phone number found on the siteOne of these listings has no number on Google either.
A call button dials something other than what it showsOnly the sites read again were tested this way, so the real count can be higher.
What one of those calls is worth here is further down, from the prices local sites print.
Tap Email, or the form
The customer who will not call during the day writes. This is what happens to them on the 72 local sites.
No form and no email addressThe phone is the only way in, and only in working hours.
An email link with stars instead of an address1Tapping Email Us opens a message to an address with asterisks in it. It cannot be sent.
An email address on a different domain than the site2One of them differs from the site only by a hyphen. Whether that inbox exists is worth one test email.
A quote form that stops at 450 characters3All three come from the same site builder. 450 characters is about seventy words.
A form with no box for a message1Name, topic, phone and email. The customer cannot say what the job is.
Same site, different company
An owner looks at his own site and his own listing. What sits next to it only shows when you open the neighbors. No business is named. The counts are what the check found.
3
sites, one builder, three competitors
Three concrete companies in this metro run their sites on the same builder: the same quote form with the same 450 character limit and the same footer credit. Two of them also share odd menu names and a badge block word for word. All three carry a Google Ads tag.
3
town names, one template
Three listings named after three towns north of the city share one site template word for word. All three promise to answer a form within 24 hours, none of the three has a form, and all three open marked “Not secure”.
2
listings, first and second place
The first two places in the metro wide search go to two listings 0.3 miles apart whose sites share the same template, text the check also found on about 210 other sites.
2
listings, two almost identical domains
Two polished concrete listings in the city use sites whose addresses differ by a few letters, with the same text and three different toll free numbers between them.
Where a site sends the customer somewhere else
A box of other contractorsOne supplier's home page carries a box from a lead marketplace that lists two other contractors, with their ratings and View Profile buttons, above its own text.
Marketing and work by different companiesOne foundation site says in its footer that the marketing is done by one company and the construction by independent licensed contractors.
A listing here, a site about another stateOne commercial listing south of the city opens a site that says the company is based in another state and lists only that office on its Contact page.
What one call is worth here
Only local sites print a price. The ones that do are enough to put a number on a single call that goes to the wrong place. Pick a job, or type your own price.
At the printed on local sites, a two-car driveway of about 480 square feet is $3,840 to $8,640 of work.
Job sizes are round examples, not measurements. Prices below are as printed on September 23, 2026.

Tap your own, from a phone
Search concrete contractor followed by your town, not near me, and tap Website on your own listing. Note what opens.
Tap the number on your site. Before it rings, read the digits the dialer shows against the number printed on the page.
Tap your email link and look at the address that appears in the To line.
Look at the bar above your site on the phone: a padlock, or “Not secure”.
Each of these takes under a minute. Most of what this page found would have shown up on one of them.

Is your company here?
If I wrote to you, the link in my message opens this page with your row marked. If I did not, send your site and I will tell you what a customer gets when they tap it, in writing and free.
In the Tampa dumpster report the gap was on the map itself: half the spots in the Tampa searches went to listings with three reviews or fewer. Seattle concrete has its share of thin listings too, but the sharper gap is one tap later, behind the listing. The search that sounds most like a customer ready to hire, the metro wide one, is where it breaks most.
Prices are the other difference. local concrete sites here print one, and they print it per square foot. In Tampa 27 of 63 dumpster sites print a price, because a dumpster is a fixed product. A driveway is not, and most sites here leave the customer to call for any number at all.
Trades are mixed in, too. In Tampa almost every listing was a dumpster company. Here listings that came up for concrete searches belong to other trades, and in the driveway search from downtown they hold of the first ten places: waterproofing, deck and general construction companies.
In the Minneapolis flooring report the gap was reach: half the companies showed up in one search out of twenty five. Reach is thin here as well: of the 72 local concrete companies came up in only one or two of the eight searches, and 7 in none.
How this was checked
Searches: 19 Google Maps searches on September 23, 2026 from downtown Seattle, a point north of it and a point south of it, for seven phrasings a customer uses: concrete contractor in Seattle, concrete contractor near me, concrete driveway, concrete patio, concrete slab cost, stamped concrete and sidewalk repair. 8 came back with enough concrete listings to count, and those are the ones this page counts.
Listings: name, category, phone number, hours, review count and website field were read from each Google listing on the same day. A listing whose category is another trade is counted as other trade and its site is not read.
Websites: every website field was followed. For the 86 sites that opened an automated check read the home page and up to six inner pages. Nothing behind a login was opened. On September 25, 2026 certificates, call links, email links and forms were read again on 22 sites, and the fresher reading wins.
Limits: one day, three points, eight counted searches. A company that is not here may simply not have come up. of the sites read again opened without a warning. Most certificates were read only once.
Google Maps results. 19 searches on September 23, 2026 from downtown Seattle, a point north of it and a point south of it. 8 of them came back with enough concrete listings to count. The other 11 are kept only as background.
Google business listings. Name, category, phone number, hours, review count and the website field of all 227 listings, read on September 23, 2026.
Business websites. Every website field was followed on September 23, 2026: 86 sites opened and were read, home page plus up to six inner pages. On September 25, 2026, 22 of them were read again for certificates, call links, email links and forms, and the fresher reading wins.
Area codes. As assigned in the North American numbering plan: 206 is Seattle, 425 the Eastside and Snohomish County, 253 Tacoma, 360 the rest of western Washington. 620 is southern Kansas, 650 the San Francisco Peninsula, 909 the Inland Empire in California, 260 Fort Wayne in Indiana.
Browser behavior. Chrome and Safari show a full page warning before a site with an expired certificate opens, and put “Not secure” next to the address of a site that opens only over http.
Printed prices. Prices read in context on the sites that print them, on September 23, 2026, and checked by hand. Budget menus in forms, prices from stories and prices of other goods do not count.
What this check cannot see. Calls, jobs won, ad spend, and the quality of anyone's concrete work. This page is about Google listings and websites only.
Correct or remove
If your company is in this report and you would like its row removed, or something in it is wrong, write to igor@sogrox.com with your website. It is done within two business days, no questions asked, and a removed company is left out of future reports too.
Nothing here names a business, a person or a customer, and nothing here is about the quality of anyone's concrete work. Sogrox is not connected to any business in this report.
