12 of the 34 Omaha heating and cooling sites I read again promise weekends or round the clock service, and Google Maps shows the same companies closed on Saturday.
On September 23 I searched Google Maps for air conditioning repair and HVAC the way someone in Omaha would, from the middle of the metro and from points north and south: 7 searches, listings. On September 29 I opened 34 of the local sites again and set what each site says about weekends next to what its Google listing shows for Saturday. The heating season starts now, and on a phone the listing hours show before the site does. No business is named here.
Whole-run numbers on this page (listings, searches, Saturday hours) cover all listings. Everything about individual sites covers the 34 sites I opened again on September 29. They were picked, not drawn at random. listings with hours are open on Saturday.

Is your company here?
If I wrote to you, the link in my message opens this page with your row and your steps marked. If I did not, send your site and I will go through it the same way, in writing and free.
This is the first heating report here, read at the start of the heating season. The split that stands out is about weekends. In other reports a mismatch in hours was a detail. Here it is one site in three of those read again, in the trade where a Saturday call is often the most urgent call of the week.
It is also the report with the most sites rented from one site builder: six of the 34, with the same layout and the same lines at the bottom of the page.
And the metro crosses a river. A Council Bluffs company works Omaha with an Iowa number on its listing, and Omaha companies list Council Bluffs among their towns.
How this was checked
Searches: 7 Google Maps searches on September 23, 2026. One metro wide search for air conditioning repair in Omaha, NE, and two phrasings, ac repair near me and hvac Omaha, from the middle of the metro and from points north and south of it. Together they returned 98 listings in the Omaha metro, on both sides of the river, and 85 of their websites answered.
Read again: on September 29 I opened 34 of those sites again by hand and by script, home page and inner pages, and compared the Google listing with what the site shows. They are the ones that come up most and the ones where the first reading found something odd, so they are not a random sample, and no share on this page stands for the whole metro. A few listings outside the 34 appear in the search lists with what the listing itself shows, such as no website.
Limits: one day of searches, five points and one metro wide search. A company that is not here may simply not have come up. Page speed was measured from Europe and is left out.
Google Maps results. 7 searches on September 23, 2026 from the middle of the Omaha metro and points north and south of it, in the phrasings a customer uses, plus one metro wide search.
Google business listings. Name, category, phone number, opening hours, reviews and the website field of all 98 listings the searches returned, read on September 23, 2026.
Websites, first reading. Every website field was followed on September 23, 2026. 85 sites answered and were read, the home page and up to six inner pages each.
Websites, read again. On September 29 I opened 34 of those sites again: certificates, call links, email links, forms, sample text. The 34 are the ones that come up most in the searches and the ones where the first reading found something odd. They are not a random sample, so no share on this page stands for the whole metro.
Printed prices. Prices read in context on the sites that print them, on September 29, and checked by hand.
Area codes. As assigned in the North American numbering plan: 561 Palm Beach County, 954 Broward, 305 and 786 Miami-Dade, 407 Orlando, 843 coastal South Carolina, 973 northern New Jersey, 416 Toronto, 520 Tucson, 314 St. Louis, 850 the Florida panhandle.
What this check cannot see. Calls, jobs won, ad spend, and the quality of anyone's work. This page is about Google listings and websites only.
Correct or remove
If your company is in this report and you would like its row removed, or something in it is wrong, write to igor@sogrox.com with your website. It is done within two business days, no questions asked, and a removed company is left out of future reports too.
Nothing here names a business, a person or a customer, and nothing here is about the quality of anyone's work. Sogrox is not connected to any business in this report.
