Townsquare is the only company here that spells out in its terms what you get back, and every item on that list is on request. Nothing comes back by itself, so the request goes out with the cancellation, not after it.
Leaving Townsquare Interactive: what you can take
Townsquare's terms, updated March 20, 2026, set an initial term in your order. You can't end the agreement before it, and after it you cancel by phone before 6 p.m. Eastern on the day before your next billing date. Fees aren't refunded. When the service ends, you have no rights in the website, its template or its design, and the site stops. What you can ask for, in writing when you cancel: your images and text, form submissions, your contact, appointment and payment lists, and the transfer of your domain and email.

What to send Townsquare
The cancellation itself is by phone, but what you want back has to be asked for in writing. Their terms give this address for written notices.
Hello, I'm cancelling by phone, as section 4.2 of your terms requires. As section 4.4 asks, I'm requesting in writing, at the time of termination: 1) my images, text and form submissions from the website; 2) my contact, appointment and payment lists; 3) the transfer of my domain [yourdomain.com] and my email to my new host. Please confirm when each will be sent. Thank you, [your name], [business name], [phone]
How Townsquare Interactive compares
Leaving early: not possible before the initial term, and its fees stay due; at Hibu it's a fixed fee, at 180 Sites half the balance. Notice: by 6 p.m. Eastern the day before billing, much shorter than Thryv's 30 days. The site: no rights in it afterwards, where Scorpion at least hands over the files.
Have the move done
